What user permissions can I set?

User permissions are a great way of ensuring that people only have access to the content that they are allowed to edit.

Updated over a week ago

User permissions are super easy to set up within our new dashboard. You can choose between three levels of permissions: administrator, editor or viewer. This can be found in the settings of your dashboard.

Note user permissions within the dashboard are currently only available on our Enterprise plans.

What does the Viewer permission permit?

The Viewer is the lowest user permission that you can assign to a user. They can do the following:

What does the Editor permission permit?

The Editor user permissions are the mid-tier user permission that you can assign to a user in Shogun. This allows the user to do the following.

  • Everything the Viewer can do, plus,

  • Edit pages

  • Create new pages

  • Use developer tools

What does the Administrator permission permit?
