What is Shogun Personalization?
Shogun Personalization allows you to create customized shopping experiences for different customer segments on your Shopify store. Rather than displaying the same content to all visitors, you can tailor pages, templates, or even entire themes to match who’s viewing your store.

How To Get Started
From your dashboard, click "Personalize" to create your first personalization.
Choose what you want to personalize:
Page – e.g., homepage, product page
Template – affects multiple pages, like all product pages
Theme – applies to store-wide elements and styles
Creating Audience Segments
You can personalize content based on:
Device Type – Desktop or mobile visitors
Location – Country, region, or city
Customer Status – Logged-in vs. guest customers
Visitor Type – New vs. returning visitors
URL Parameters – Serve content based on URL
Referral Source – Customize based on referral traffic
How to Create a Personalization
1. Select Your Target
Choose the page, template, or theme
Give a name to your Personalization
2. Create Variants
Click "Add variant" to build a new version
Edit variants in Shopify’s editor
Assign each variant to a specific audience segment
3. Set Up Audience Rules
Choose from pre-built or custom segments
Use Match Any or Match All logic
Order variants to control which is shown first
4. Review and Publish
Preview each variant
Publish when ready to go live
