Shogun has introduced numerous feature improvements over the years, refining existing elements in various areas.
What does this look like?
When an element has an upgraded version, you will notice an icon in the layout panel and at the top of the element sidebar on the right. This icon indicates that an element currently on your page has an enhanced version available.
Actioning the prompt
In order to pick up the most advanced version of that same element, you would need to delete the element in question from the layout and then navigate to the sidebar and drop in the same element again, which will be the newest version.
Our slider, text, and image elements all have enhanced versions and have been iterated on.
Slider
The current slider element offers an expanded set of controls that allow you to position the slider dots more accurately, resize the arrows, and have more than one slide per page. You can also customize the slider's transition between slide and loop functions, which was not offered in legacy versions of the same element.
Text
The newest version of the text element does away with the floating controls box and instead places all the controls in the sidebar to not obstruct the editor's view of the canvas.
Image
Our newest version of the image element rearranges the controls into a more intuitive layout in the sidebar and groups commonly used controls into the top panel.
While updating all elements to the current implementation is not required, and the older versions are still supported, we recommend updating to the current iteration to take advantage of future usability improvements.
