Are Shogun pages optimized for SEO?

Page load time, meta descriptions, mark up. These are things we've kept in mind.

Shogun elements are built with SEO in mind. Here are a few things to note:

Our app generates clean markup. We make use of semantic HTML to ensure your pages are both SEO friendly, and accessible, too. Our scripts are loaded asynchronously so that they do not interfere with the pages loading times.

You can set your page title and meta description inside of Shogun, using the Advanced Setting feature.

We allow you to insert alt tags right into your images so that this can be read by search engines, as well as being of benefit to screen readers. Check out the right-hand menu of the Image element to get started.

Page load time is determined primarily by the CDN of your ecommerce platform, as they are the ones who host and serve your pages. We serve up images via our CDN provider UploadCare, and we serve compressed images to ensure faster load time. To further assist with page speed, we ensure that images that are out of view of the visitor are not loaded until they are in view - this means that they are not loaded on page load.

Some aspects of your SEO are controlled by your theme and ecommerce platform, such as your header, footer, and sitemap. For questions about those components, we recommended reaching out to your theme developer or the support of your ecommerce provider.

While the Google ranking of pages ultimately depends on the type and quality of content within them, all the content created in Shogun is readable by search engines.
