Making a standard page in Shogun as the homepage is as easy as the click of a button.
Please ensure your homepage is published before following these steps.
Setting a Homepage from the Dashboard
Click the three-dot button next to one of your standard content pages in your Shogun dashboard. Select the "Set as Homepage" option.
Setting a Homepage from the Editor
You can also set a homepage within the Shogun editor. First, click the three-dot button in the upper-right corner of the editor and select the Page Settings option.
Next, click the "Set as homepage" button within the Page Settings menu.
When a Shogun page has been set as your store's homepage, that page will appear at the top of the page listing in your Shogun dashboard. It will also have a home icon next to its name:
Important Notes:
- If your page URL starts with a number you may see a banner 'Error setting as homepage' when setting your Shogun-built page as the homepage when your platform is Shopify. This is due to the fact that Shopify considers pages that start with a number as invalid for this purpose. Changing the URL in the page settings to start with a letter should allow the publish action to complete. This page will still be presented under the base URL for the store.
- You will not be able to change the page path of a page while it is set as the homepage. If you'd like to do change the, temporarily unset it as the homepage, edit the path, then re-set it as the homepage again.
