Once you've created a Category (collection) in your BigCommerce account, you can import it into Shogun to add custom content.

There are two methods of importing your Category Pages into Shogun so that you can edit them.

Importing via the dashboard search

One of the easiest ways to import a Category Page is through the dashboard search. Simply type in the name of your Category Page and if this is not imported you will be given the option to do so.

Importing via the create page button

The other option is to use the create page button to import your product page. This will bring you through the flow to create/import your Category Page.

Your selected collection page will then open in the Shogun editor, and you can begin adding your custom content.

You will see 1 dropzone with which you can make additions of new elements above your theme template.

The products displayed on the Category page are controlled by your theme's template and the BigCommerce catalogue. Shogun can be used to add dynamic content into the top region of the page.

This is normal. Your products will be displayed correctly on the live page, there is nothing to worry about!
