What to do when the Shogun editor is showing a blank page

Updated over 4 months ago

If you have logged into Shogun and find your editor showing a blank page, it's nothing to worry about! Normally, we have JavaScript disabled in the editor because it can sometimes affect the drag and drop capabilities. However, some themes require it to render the page correctly and when this is disabled, this can cause the editor not to load any content.

Please note that this can be done by you in the editor by:

Within a page:

  • opening a page in the editor

  • clicking on the 3 dot more options button

  • clicking on "Page Settings"

  • scrolling down to "JavaScript" and enabling

Enabling JavaScript within a page in the editor

From Shogun Settings:

  • clicking "Settings" on the Shogun dashboard

  • under the "Editor" heading clicking on the "Enable JavaScript" switch

Enabling JavaScript within from the Shogun dashboard

Note: in certain situations enabling Javascript on the store may lead to unexpected side effects due to your theme being loaded in the editor.
