Before making use of the built-in integration with Heap, it's important to ensure that your App ID is placed inside of your Shogun settings. To do this, you must first grab your App ID from your Heap General Settings. In the bottom left corner of Heap, select “Account”, then select “Manage”:

On this page, under “General Settings”, grab the “App ID”

Once you have that ID, navigate to your Shogun dashboard, into Settings, and scroll down to the Integrations section. Click “Enable” on the Heap Integration, insert your App ID, and then click Save.

It’s important to note that you’ll have to republish any page that you want Heap to work on, now that you’ve added the token.

Once the App ID is added to your settings and the Shogun page is republished, the Heap script will automatically be added to the live page. The great thing about Heap is that it will automatically record all events on the page without the need of setting up event trackers for each element.
