You may see the error: Meta description must be less than 400 characters long when trying to publish a product page in our editor, and this will occur due to the meta description stored in Shopify exceeding 400 characters.

Shopify suggests a limit of 320 characters but doesn't enforce this requirement, allowing long meta descriptions that truncate and aren't considered good for SEO reasons.

Shogun is a bit more generous at 400 characters but insists that the meta description be no longer than that. So, if you are seeing this, to resolve the issue, you would go to the Shopify product page in Shopify's CMS and condense the meta description to some keywords and terms you want to hit for SEO. You will find that when saved, you can publish the page with us.
