Anchors make it possible link to and jump to content within the same page.

The easiest way to make same-page anchors is to use an HTML element and drop in your anchors at the relevant points in your page. Then, use buttons or links to point to those anchors.

As an example, suppose you have a heading halfway down your page and you want to link to it from an anchor at the top of the page. You would create an anchor right above your heading using this HTML:

<div id="my-heading"></div>

Then you would create a button at the top of the page, and set its link to:

If you have multiple anchors in the same page, each one will need a unique ID name in order to function. Duplicate anchor names will prevent the links from working.

Why are my anchors not working?

There are a couple of reasons why your anchors may not be working correctly on your page.

Your anchors are not unique. In order to have multiple anchors on your page, they will each need to have a unique ID name. This is important to inform the browser where you have anchors.

Anchors do not work in our editor, or on page previews. These will only work on the live page. In order to test these, you can publish the page and then un-publish it once this has been tested.

Note: Anchors do not work in our editor or on page previews.  They only work on live pages.
