[Sneak Peek] Preview Upcoming Shogun Updates

The team is always working to bring you an incredible experience in Page Builder. Today I’d like to share some of the latest updates we’re planning behind the scenes for this quarter. I’ll reveal the product roadmap in the near term and showcase some of the exciting releases you can look forward to!

Alright, first on the docket…

You’ll soon be able to quickly apply (and deploy bulk changes to) Shogun Product Page Templates

Each product page is a storytelling opportunity to showcase how awesome your products are. And now you can tell your story, on repeat, even faster.

With so many different products in your store, it makes sense to create a default product page template that can be applied across your entire catalog and streamline upcoming product launches. This way you never start from scratch, and your store has consistent product page structure and content governance.

By grouping your products with similar details, sizing charts, or shipping and return policies, you can quickly apply the right product page template and make your workflow efficient.

We know you crave the flexibility of a default layout, plus want to upload all of your Shopify products in bulk, using the default product template as their structural basis (pulling in the product info dynamically once set).

Well, we’ve heard you and this is high up on our Q2 roadmap!

Very soon you’ll be able to create Shogun Product Page Templates, apply these templates across select products, and deploy bulk changes to Product templates store-wide.

To make small tweaks to any product pages using a given template, you’ll simply edit the default template and you’re good to go; changes will reflect wherever that template is in use.

Here’s to making more changes across more custom-made product pages, faster! We can’t wait to see what you create.

AI Text is coming soon…🔮

When it comes to writing persuasive copy for your store—a blank page is intimidating. And this is something we want to help you out with, with the latest tech at your fingertips, directly in Page Builder.

We won’t spoil too much now, but we imagine a not-so-distant future where you’ll never need to start from scratch. As one of the first steps in an overarching vision for Shogun AI, this quarter, we’re introducing AI Text—helping you to quickly generate AI-created page copy in Page Builder.

Simply select any text or header element on a Shogun-built page, add a prompt, and you’ll get contextual, first-draft copywriting for your store’s headlines, hero banners, and product descriptions.

This release is slated for early May 2023, so stay tuned! We are looking forward to bringing you even more updates in this area.

Manage multiple Shopify and BigCommerce storefronts more efficiently with improvements to content syncing

This quarter we’re also excited to dramatically improve the efficiency of managing multiple storefronts with Page Builder Advanced.

Today you can build out content for your main storefront, and then push it to your other regional or sub-brand stores with our content syncing feature. Brands like GE Appliances and Grace Loves Lace already use this feature all the time.

And shortly synching is getting an even smoother workflow.

Aligned to what we hear is important to you for saving time, we anticipate this series of releases will look like:

• The ability to sync one store to many destinations in one workflow and auto publish upon sync completion (you won’t need to sync to each destination store individually)
• Being able to selectively sync existing Custom Elements and Data Collections. (you’ll be able to choose which Custom Elements and Data Collections you want to sync between stores).
• Product box mapping flexibility:
  • Today when you sync a page that includes product box elements from the Source site, if the destination site doesn’t have that same product, the Product Boxes become unlinked.
    With this new release, you’ll get notified if a given product doesn’t exist, so you can remap it to a product that does exist in the destination store.
• Visibility into syncing status: in the new flow, you’ll see when a content sync is slated to finish and get confirmation when it’s complete.
